Thursday night after work I went over to Keeseh to see the new RISD alumni show. I’m very glad that they are doing these alumni shows on a relatively regular basis. The main reason for me wanting to see more of these shows is based on the fact when I arrived I saw that none of the artists from the first alumni show were in this show, eliminating any doubt that there wouldn’t be a fair representation of RISD’s vast alumni talent.
Because I arrived so early in the evening I was able to see all the work relatively unobstructed by chattys. There were several works and names that popped out at me. I thought the show was strong, even if it wasn’t extremely memorable.

A work of “dirty” art by Keith Allyn Spencer in the top corner, from the Amigos exhibit this past winter.
Not build together, but this “alterpiece” was my favorite part of the exhibit.

Before I left, my eye was caught by a sign down a hallway. They are renting out artist studio spaces. Even though they aren’t very large, for an artist working in small 2-d, its a pretty nice size.
